Erin Winseman is a writer and editor based in Houston, Texas. She writes book reviews, essays on literature and culture, and fiction, with work appearing in The Rumpus, Litro Magazine, and elsewhere. Her first published short story, “Derek,” was a semi-finalist for American Short Fiction’s 2020 American Short(er) Fiction Prize. She freelance edits and tutors in college and graduate school application writing, professional and technical writing, and essay writing. She has extensive experience in marketing and communications and works with companies and brands to tell their stories.

She has an M.A. in Journalism (Cultural Reporting & Criticism) from New York University and a B.A. in English & American Literatures from Middlebury College. She grew up in Vermont.
